6 Month Checkup

Posted by Michelle

Well, today was check up day.  He is 18.19 lbs, 27.5 inches long, and is HEAVY.  His nose started running a few days ago but it is nothing serious.  Doc feels it is a head cold that is associated with his teeth coming in.  Let’s hope so.

All I can say is he has come a LONG way from when he was in the hospital.

I love my Little man.

Writing is less stress

Posted by Michelle

When it comes to writing, I am finding that I am thinking about it more then doing it. I will not take into consideration that even though I am not working as much as I use to, if any at all, that is also a reason I am not writing as much as I should.

I had previously been talking to a guy who has a car website that I want to write for. It's very difficult to offer 'examples' when there are no examples to give. Everything I know is in my head, my knowledge, my thoughts, my opinions. I have several blogs I need to maintain and keep up with yet I do not.

I have been SO stressed and SO worked up over the new baby. I am scared to coddle him TOO much or not enough. I want him to go ahead and walk, talk yet I want him to remain a baby.

I am hoping that having this mini laptop, I will write every night prior to bed.

We will see.

Stuck at Pitt....

Posted by Michelle

Sitting here watching my son being attached to all these IV's and tubes and whatnot, is enough to make me go crazy or even postal. (the details of his issues can be found at  My mommy Blog ) In this time of great stress, you always have to managed to keep yourself sane.  I have done everything from updating My Myspace, My twitter, and even my facebook to keep from going mad.  Let's not consider the fact I am ALREADY crazy just don't have it on paper.  Which is good because I am allowed to have a concealed carry permit. Scary isn't it?? I have taken pictures of my son, to show people this isn't as simple as one may think.  Even though it seems it's not a big deal to most, I want you to look at this and tell me it's no big fucking deal.

With that being said I have had to make myself useful and attempt to keep my humor about me.  I did catch one photo op that was intriguing, it is raw so bare with me on that.  I will blow it up later

Thomas Beatie, also known as The Pregnant Man, has given birth to a girl, he confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Beatie, 34, who began life as a woman and legally switched to a male identity, while preserving his female reproductive organs, and his wife Nancy, 46, welcomed a daughter at an Oregon hospital on June 29. Both Beatie and his daughter are healthy and doing well, he tells PEOPLE.

Beatie, who took twice-weekly doses of testosterone and had his breasts surgically removed during his female-to-male transition, made headlines around the globe last April when he announced in an exclusive interview in PEOPLE and on
The Oprah Winfrey Show that he was expecting a child – while legally living as a man.

Raised in Hawaii, he spent the first two decades of his life as Tracy Lagondino, a Girl Scout, former model and finalist in a Miss Hawaii Teen USA pageant. Beatie told PEOPLE that he began to dress and live as a man in his 20s, in time officially changing his gender on his passport and driver's license.

In 2003, he legally married Nancy, a divorced mother of two who had had a hysterectomy as a result of endometriosis.

The couple became pregnant using donor sperm and Thomas's eggs, through artificial insemination, after relocating in 2005 to Bend, Ore., where they operate a T-shirting printing business.

Their baby girl is Thomas's first child. "The only thing different about me is that I can't breastfeed my baby. But a lot of mothers don't," he told PEOPLE.

Despite published reports, Beatie says the baby was not delivered via C-section. He intends to publish a book about his experience this fall.

Ok, Transgender: a person appearing as, or wishing to be considered as having undergone surgery to become a member of the opposite sex. Lamens terms, Transgender are people who feel they are in the wrong sex. As this situation, a woman who felt that she was a man and has gone through surgery and hormones to do so, YET she still has her parts below. Obviously, she had a child.

The one thing I can honestly say is transgendered people, in my opinion, want to be normal everyday people. Yes, they feel they are in the wrong sex and wrong body, but they just want to put themselves where they feel most comfortable and live their life as normal people. Tonight, you are about to see the 'circus freak' of transgendered individuals. I'm sure this person has not seen the good side of other transgendered people.

Everything, 'his' license, SS card, birth certificate, everything states male, but nothing having a penis, whether naturally nor through sex reassignment surgery, still classify you as a female? Being able to have a child, KNOWING a man cannot, doesn't that classify 'him' as a female still? Yes, hormones and taking off your breasts are a good start BUT still, the classification.

It brings to mind the movie 'Southern Comfort' about a woman who chose to live her life as a male. She had everything, as 'Thomas' including the female organs. He ended up with cervical cancer and no Dr would give him a hysterectomy due to the way he was living his life and he ended up dying from it. All he wanted to do is live life as normal, and not become center of attention.

It appears 'Thomas' is pregnant again and plans on having a child in June. I heard his wife can't have children so that is why he is doing it for her. I still do not see it, you can't have the best of both worlds…..

Local issues......

Posted by Michelle

We had a local occurance that seems to be happening everywhere.  Teachers having sexual relations with their students.  It doesn't surprise me that it came to this area or any area for that matter.  If you have noticed, it's more female teachers with male students rather then visa versa.  I must say that kids now a days are not the same as when I was coming up.  It's to a point you will have to ask for ID to make sure of their age.

One example would be the new trend of attire girls are wearing.shorts
Now, when i was growing up, and I'm ONLY 30, they were not that short and IF they were, you were called several names that need not be said here. That is the style and that is what parents are letting the kids wear.  To each is own, but my child will not be in it.

Well, it seems the woman, Kelly Bartz, is being charged and claims the student was 18 at the time.  In comments to the story everywhere, it was said that he pursued her for a while and she finally gave in.  The mother was mad because he only passed her class, yet blames the teacher?  more when I learn more.

MNO

Posted by Michelle

Many people who are not local do not know about MNO.  MNO, also referred to as ‘Men’s Night Out’ started as a group of men getting together.  It bled over to the family’s and then their friends.  It’s 50 men who are paired off and setup their own places.  Each section is setup to cater to friends the pair invite.  They feed the people they invite and then everyone walks around mingling among themselves.

Years ago, MNO was a very prestigious thing.  You were very Privileged to get a ticket and be a part of it. Tickets were very limited. It was the ‘higher end’ people who put it on and who were there.  Most were dressed nicely and looked good.  Yes, there was alcohol involved and many of these people would take this night to express their love for the drink and stumble around.  It seems they use this night to do this and be able to get away with it.

One year, it appeared tickets were duplicated and there was a flood of people there, many several years younger then myself, I was 21 at the time, and it was complete chaos.  There were more fights, and more problems then there had ever been before.  Ever since that time, it has never been the same to me.

I had been going every year up until last year and each year it seemed to de pleat more and more.  This year was no exception to that.  I hate to say that every year, it seems the people that come are more ‘trashy’, for lack of a better term.  These are the people who most likely get there drunk, or highly buzzing.  The ones who can hardly keep their composure and walk around.  They bump into people for failure to be capable of walking.  They talk to you yet you can’t understand a word they say.  They are the instigators who alone say nothing but around their ‘people’ feel ten feet tall and bulletproof and want to talk shit or silently stand behind someone for lack of nuts….

Either way, over the years, MNO has disappointed me more and more.  And I have begun to realize that the only way most and many can enjoy their night IS to be drunk.  Maybe, if I was drunk (and not pregnant) I would have had a better time. I may have been able to understand the gibberish the other drunks speak.  If I was drunk (and not pregnant), it may not have just been words thrown around.

Needless to say, I appreciate the past availability to tickets and being able to see people I haven’t seen all year or since last MNO.  But, I doubt I will be going from now on.  I do not feel I meet the ultimate criteria that will eventually overtake and overpower MNO and beat it down to the bottom of the pole.

PS.  For those who feel offended and feel this blog is about you, it probably is.
